Voting Shouldn’t Be the Weakest Link

Image

No credible system operates on blind trust. Voting shouldn’t be the exception.

From airport gates to prescription counters, identification is non-negotiable. Yet in some jurisdictions, casting a vote—the most consequential civic act—requires less verification than buying cough syrup. That contradiction doesn’t empower voters. It erodes confidence, creates chaos, and undermines outcomes long after Election Day.

Uniform voter ID isn’t a barrier. It’s a baseline. It affirms that elections are serious, legitimate, and governed by rules, not loopholes. Restoring that standard is not suppression. It’s alignment—bringing our most sacred democratic process up to the level of every other critical system.

Every serious system verifies identity. Voting must too.
